What the service does

CashLens analyses accounting exports you upload and produces a working capital diagnostic, a thirteen-week cash forecast, a collection-risk ranking and a written brief. Every figure is derived from the files you provide, and each carries the formula and inputs used to produce it.

What it is not

CashLens does not provide investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. It recommends operational actions only — which invoices to chase, which week to plan around. Decisions about financing, structuring, tax treatment or contractual matters are yours to make with appropriately qualified advisers.

It is not a bookkeeping system, not a system of record, and not a substitute for your accounts. Nothing it produces is audited or certified.

Forecasts are projections

The forecast places each open invoice in the week that customer’s observed payment history suggests they are likely to pay. That is a behavioural projection, not a commitment from your customer and not a guarantee of anything.

Later weeks rest more heavily on projection than on invoices that already exist, and the output labels this rather than presenting week thirteen with the same authority as week two. The forecast also covers only invoices already raised — work you bill next month cannot appear in it.

Accuracy depends on your files

Output quality follows input quality. The service removes duplicate rows, reconciles differently spelled customer names and reports what it could not derive, but it cannot correct figures that were wrong when exported. Where something cannot be derived it is marked NOT AVAILABLE rather than estimated — you should treat those as genuinely unknown, not as zero.

Your responsibilities

  • Upload only data you are entitled to process, and keep your credentials to yourself.
  • Review the output before acting on it. It is an input to your judgement, not a replacement for it.
  • Do not attempt to access another customer’s data.

Availability and current status

The service is in early access. It is provided as-is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment, and features may change. Card payment is not yet enabled; where a paid plan has been granted directly, no charge applies for that period.

Ending it

You may close your account at any time, which removes your files, reports and records. See the privacy page for what is held and for how long.

A note on status

These terms describe how the service actually behaves. They have not been reviewed by a solicitor and are not a substitute for legal advice. Before contracting with a client who requires negotiated terms, have them reviewed.
